John joined the Rev. War in the 2nd NY Regt. in Nov. 1778 and served 5 yrs. On July 8, 1790, John received 100 acres of land in the town of Cato, Cayuga Co., NY for his war service which he sold without seeing. John and many others bought the school lot in Lloyd in 1804.
Jemima Trowbridge was born on 6 May 1764 in New Fairfield, Fairfield Co., Conn.. She was baptized as an adult and admitted to the New Paltz Dutch Reformed Church on 12 March 1811.
